Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has ordered the immediate closure of all courts in the state.
Mr Umahi gave the directive in a statewide broadcast on Friday and ordered all staff of the judiciary in the state to immediately proceed for coronavirus test.
His orders followed the state’s first coronavirus-related death.
The governor described it as “regrettable and saddening”.
