The US Congress has finally certified Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory as US VP, Mike Pence, declares him the winner.
There was no further objections of the results as Vice President Mike Pence speed through the votes.
The last three votes counted are Rhode Island, Wisconsin and finally Wyoming.
Donald Trump suffered a slide defeat and will have to vacate the White House in the next couple of days after all attempts to stop Pence from giving his nod failed.
It was gathered that some of his supporters among the lawmakers decided against contesting any of the results to give way for Joe Biden’s victory.
Pence read out the tally of the 538 votes from the 50 states and the District of Columbia, cementing Mr. Biden’s win with 306 electoral votes to President Trump’s 232.
He immediately closed out the proceedings early Thursday morning, hours after police had hurried him out of the Senate chamber with rioters inside the Capitol.
