UNITED State’s Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, have tested negative to the Coronavirus. This is a day after President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania tested positive to the disease.

This was revealed by an official spokesman today.

Press secretary to Pence, Devin O’Malley, disclosed this via Twitter early today.

“As has been routine for months, Pence is tested for Covid-19 every day. This morning, Pence and his wife tested negative for Covid-19. Pence remains in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery,” O’Malley said.

Trump disclosed on Friday that he and his wife Melania had tested positive for the Covid and were going into quarantine, upending the race for the White House.

“We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this together,” the president said in a tweet early on Friday morning.

Over 200,000 Americans have lost their lives to Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, in the United States alone, making it the country with the highest coronavirus-related death rate.

The elderly and those with pre-existing conditions have been especially hard hit.
