We will soon have State Police — Akeredolu

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has again re-affirmed his readiness to work for the people of the state

Akeredolu, who made the assertion during the swearing in of his new Chief of Staff, Olugbenga Ale bearly 24hrs after the Ondo State House of Assembly endorsed the lists sent to it by the Governor.

Gov Akeredolu said Ondo State will soon have a State Police which will again push for diligence and hard work and that only those that are ready for genuine service will be appointed.

In his speech, the governor congratulated the newly sworn in Chief of Staff for his steadfastness and commitment to the service of the state.

The Governor further said that Chief Ale is a trust worthy person.

According to him, he said it has been grace of God all the way and that only those who will not constitute burden on us and that he will not be afraid of those who will shake table and do away with all distractions.

“All I need now is less distractions and that the four years is short.”

The Governor said his administration does not want to waste time in doing the will of the people.

He said diligence and decency will be rewarded in this new administration.

He advised the new appointee to be focused and never to be deviated from the service to humanity.

While responding, the new Chief Of Staff appreciated the governor for the opportunity of appointing him second time.

He thanked the governor for the confidence repose in him to serve and promised never to disappoint the governor and the people of the state.

Mr Ale, a former Permanent secretary had served in the first term of governor Akeredolu and has been re-appointed as Chief of Staff.
