The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has stated reasons the chairman of Enugu branch, Brown Ene, was suspended.
A meeting held on Wednesday by the National Executive Council of the guild (NEC) had provoked a suspension of the chairman and the members of the executive committee.
Report revealed that Brown alongside the members was suspended over the misappropriation of funds.
The AGN national secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, on Wednesday in an interview with journalists said the suspension is connected to various petitions received from members of the state chapter bordering on misappropriation of funds, embezzlement, and lack of following due process by the executives.
He said each member will be allowed to appear before an investigation panel to give them opportunities to defend themselves and if found guilty, they will face the consequences.
