Afrobeat singer, Adedamola Adefolahan, also known as Fireboy DML, has revealed why he has been quiet musically in the year 2023.
The singer, in a recent interview with War And Ers, said 2023 was the year for peace and reflection for him.
He said people often forget artistes and celebrities are humans and he needed to remind himself of that fact.
Fireboy who was a sensational act between 2021 and 2022 with back to back hits like ‘Peru’, ‘Ashawo’, ‘Bandana’, ‘Vibration’ and others, said he is grateful for the moments.
He said, “I’m just really grateful for the journey. When people say be grateful for the journey, I think this year has been that year for me.
“Sometimes, it’s okay to step out from being an artiste and just realise that you’re human as well.
“With an actual life, with real problems just like everybody else. And this year has really taught me to appreciate all those things.”
