Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has opened up about her decision to surrogacy and how she welcomed her baby girl.
In a recent interview by Chude Jideonwo ‘With Chude’, Ini Edo said she had decided to go for the option after her natural attempts to conceive had failed several times.
She said she has had multiple miscarriages in the past and she had to try surrogacy because her eggs were good and that she wanted a child of her own from her own eggs.
“I chose the surrogacy because I’ve had a couple of miscarriages. I was tired and I got tired of trying. I don’t have a husband so I was like I want a child of my own whether I have a husband or not.
“What other option do I have? And I wanted it to be my child. Thankfully my eggs were good … ”
She talked about her failed marriage and what led to it. According to her, she was pressured into the marriage and she regretted the decision to marry over pressure because it wasn’t the right decision to make.
However, she stated that she would get married again if the right man comes.
Ini Edo welcomed her child, a baby girl, via surrogacy in March 2021.
