A close associate of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has disclosed reasons the monarch might not be present at his wedding in Kano.
KAFTANPOST, yesterday, had reported that the monarch will be getting married to the niece of Emir of Kano, Firdauz Abdullahi, on March 19, 2022.
The wedding which will take place at the residence of the Madakin Kano, Yola Quarters, Kano at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, might not have the attendance of the groom.
The monarch’s spokesperson, Alli Ibrahim, confirmed the wedding, stating why the groom might not be at the venue of the event.
Ibrahim said, “Baba is not likely to be there (in Kano) as a paramount ruler. They will bring the wife to him in Iwo. There is no cause for alarm.”
