Award winning artiste, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has revealed reasons American R&B singer, Toni Braxton will be taking 60% royalty of his latest single ‘Last Last’.
The artiste had stirred the hearts of many when he revealed Toni Braxton will be getting 60% of royalty for his song ‘Last Last’. He had gotten several reactions after his post.
Some suggested the singer is only trying to be global, while others wondered about the connection between Braxton and Burna Boy.
In a recent interview which was aired on Sunday, Burna Boy said he had always wanted to sample a song ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ by Toni Braxton and he finally got the approval.
He went further to state that he decided to bring music producer Chopstick into it, even though 60% of the royalty will be Toni’s, he is okay with it.
He said, “It was actually my idea, to be honest. I just wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopstix could do something crazy with it.
“I just pointed that shit out and he took it from there. That’s one of the most creative processes ever.
“But she is taking 60 percent of the shit. I’m not complaining. Hopefully, she even comes out to one of the shows.”
