Armed thugs numbering about 100 on Wednesday stormed the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) office in Kaduna with the aim of attacking the protesters.
The office, is supposed to be the meeting point of workers in the state who are protesting the sacking of their colleagues by the state government.
A similar case was witnessed on Tuesday, when thugs attempted to disrupt the protest by hurling stones at the workers but were overpowered by security operatives.
The protest then held at the NEPA roundabout along Ahmadu Bello Way later continued after the attack.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammad Jalige, confirmed the arrest of 20 of the thugs who invaded the office.
“We have been able to arrest some of them and investigation is ongoing to that effect,” Jalige said.
