Some persons were on Monday, trapped in a four-storey building that collapsed at Life Camp, Jabi, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The building, which was still under construction, collapsed at about 4pm on Monday, while workers were working on the site.
The DG, FEMA and Director, Department of Development Control (DDC), Muktar Galadima, confirmed the development, adding that a team of first responders have been deployed.
The rescue team, including officers of the FCT Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Nigerian police are currently on ground at the scene.
Meanwhile, nine persons have been reportedly rescued from the building as at press time.
