Former Governorship aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State, Otunba Yinka Akerele has emerged as the party’s House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti North Federal Constituency.
Akerele emerged as an unopposed candidate in the primaries.
Also, the son of former Governor Ayo Fayose, Joju won the ticket for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1, comprising Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government.
He polled 69 votes as against nine votes by his opponent, Deji Adeosun.
Fayose’s Spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, emerged candidate for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2.
Olayinka on Sunday in Aramoko Ekiti polled a total of 54 votes to defeat a rival, Mr Victor who scored 45 votes for the position.
In Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2, Babatunde Ajayi polled 63 votes to defeat Hon Funmi Ogun, who had 33 votes.
The primary election was conducted at Ido Ekiti in Ido Osi Local Government Area.
