The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar says he would decentralize the Nigeria Police into State and communities for effective security network.

He made this claim on Tuesday in Abuja at the ongoing parley organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) as part of activities to meet with all the presidential candidates of the 18 registered political parties contesting in the 2023 presidential election.

The former Vice president therefore noted that he would achieve this by ensuring constitutional amendment if elected in 2023.

Also present at the CAN Headquarters are his vice presidential candidate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, and the PDP national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.

Others in the entourage were; Governor of Taraba State, Dairus Ishaku; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; former Vice President, Alhaji Namadi Sambo; former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi; and Chairman Emeritus of Daar Communications Plc, Dr Raymond Dokpesi.
