The Social Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, says he will be a post-conflict leader if elected president in 2023.

Comparing Nigeria to a war-torn country, Adebayo said he has the experience to restore, rehabilitate and restart the nation.

The SDP standard flagbearer spoke during a radio interview on Rhythm FM.

According to the renowned legal practitioner, the country needs a fresh start.

“After the Liberian civil war, I was appointed UN and ECOWAS commissioner and I know that we were trying to build the country afresh,” he said.

“This is what I’m going to do in Nigeria. I’m going to reconstruct everything afresh. We have to reconstruct the Presidency because what is happening today, the Presidency is working against the president.

“The president is the number 1 victim and he doesn’t have the awareness, information and courage to take control of his own situation. Instead of driving one process, he is being driven around.

“These people can never change. They put in their best behaviour six months before elections. They change dresses, languages, go to churches and mosques and many other things that gets you confused. They do these until Nigerians vote them again”.
