Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has named Nafisa Mohammed Bolori as his running mate.
Bolori, like Adewole is a legal practitioner.
She hails from Borno State, Northeastern Nigeria.
A tweet by renowned rights activist, Segun Awosanya, confirmed this development.
He wrote, “Breaking: So the SDP Flag Bearer Prince @Pres_Adebayo picks Nafisa Mohammed Bolori: a lawyer from Borno State as Vice President (substantive).
VPs can withdraw & they can be replaced within the time permissible by the Electoral Act but placeholder is unconstitutional, null/void.”
Earlier, the All Progressives Congress and Labour Party’s presidential candidates revealed their running mates.
While Kabiru Masari will run alongside Bola Tinubu, Doyin Okupe will fly LP’s flag with Peter Obi.
On Thursday, the People’s Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar named Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.
