Presidential aspirant, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has opposed the notion expressed by most citizens that ‘Nigeria has failed us’.

According to the Social Democratic Party’s aspirant, rather it is the political class that has failed the nation.

Adebayo made this known on Thursday via his official Twitter handle.

He wrote, “I sadly hear my generation express disappointment by saying ‘Nigeria has failed us’.

“But, think, how could Nigeria fail us except we or people before us have failed Nigeria? We are the Nigeria we are talking about. Let us stop failing ourselves. Let us start with #HopeAgain2023”.

Aligning with the renowned legal practitioner, human rights activist, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, said Nigeria has not, can not and will not fail anyone.

His words, “I said the same just yesterday. We are raising a dependent and entitled generation that think only of what they can get and not wired to contribute enough to make the society better than they met it. The rulership however despicable, is yet to ban independent thoughts.

“Nigeria has not, will not and cannot fail anyone. We are the ones failing ourselves with indiscipline, irresponsibility, apathy and fatalistic escapism. We can think ourselves through our challenges and grow through what we go through for all our children’s sake”.
