Renowned legal practitioner, Prince (Dr) Adewole Adebayo, has outlined his blueprint for the country if elected president in 2023.
Speaking to the media on Saturday at a ceremony to mark the 51st coronation of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Adebayo said he would run an active government.
The media entrepreneur said he is energetic, adding that his government will potentially eliminate the practice of cabals.
He also vowed that his cabinet members will have easy access to him unlike what is perceived to be the case under the current administration.
His words, “I have heard stories of ministers not being able to see the president for months or even years. All of that we will change. We will run an active government. As you can see, the energy is there”.
On the issue of rotational presidency, Adebayo added, “the last few presidents have not come from the people. If the president comes from the people, you will enjoy the president”.
He further revealed, “I don’t think I’m interested in the ethnicity of the president. Fuel pump price, prices of foodstuff, bad roads and others don’t know tribe. I want to be elected not because of where I come from but where I am going”.
Adebayo, who is a leading member of the Presidential Committee of the National Consultative Front, reputed as the ‘Third Force’, also said he comes with a clear vision to navigate digital pathways to rapid development.
“2023 is about the future of Nigerians and the divine destiny of a new generation in a world changing at high speed,” he wrote in a recent tweet.
“We come with a clear vision to navigate digital pathways to rapid development not to litigate past grievances using rearview mirrors”.
