Nollywood actress, Tonto Charity Dikeh, is celebrating her 36th birthday today, June 9, 2021. The screen diva posted some alluring pictures on her Instagram page to celebrate her new age.
She also showed pictures and videos of beautiful cakes she received from well wishers. The actress was pictured with one of the cakes, which is one of the biggest, a 6-tier-cake.
Born on June 9, 1985 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the Rivers State screen diva is an actress, singer, humanitarian and activist.
Tonto Dikeh, who likes to be referred to as ‘King Tonto’, a name she got after the birth of her son, King Andre and after the crash of her marriage to socialite, Churchill, is one of the most controversial entertainers in the industry.

The Diva made her first hit into fame when she appeared on reality show, “The Next Movie Star” in 2005. She created a lot of sparks on the show, which in turn opened doors for her in the movie industry.

The actress left many jaws open when she released her first single ‘Hi’, followed by ‘It’s over’ featuring Synpa in 2012. She received criticisms and a lot of disapprovals. Many told the actress to stick to acting. Soon after, she released another song, ‘Crazically fit’ featuring Terry G. That flopped as well, which was no surprise to her fans. Her most relevant clash was with colleague, Mercy Johnson. In 2013, Tonto Dikeh had ridiculed Mercy Johnson, calling her a fool and a careless mother on Twitter. They became sworn enemies since then, most especially after Tonto called Mercy’s first child, Purity, a witch. However she apologized in 2019, confessing to have envied the actress (Mercy Johnson).
Another clash was with a filmmaker, Ada Slim, who claimed to have made Tonto who she is today, even after losing over N2 million and her car. Tonto denied the accusations, telling the filmmaker to send her bills because she can afford all she mentioned.
Tonto also had a clash with stylist, Toyin Lawani, who was one of her best friends years ago. The two were inseparable until they fell out. Tonto posted a picture on her social media tagging her new bestie and Toyin’s rival, Swanky Jerry, as the designer of her dress. Tonto Dikeh has been rumoured to have dated many artistes and socialites but the one she revealed was her ex-husband, socialite Olakunle Churchill.
She got married to Churchill in August 2015 but the marriage lasted for just two years which didn’t surprise fans. Tonto went on to grant several interviews to reveal her ordeal while married. She stated that her husband was cheating on her with fellow colleague, Rosy Meurer, who he calls ‘an assistant’.
Tonto created an uproar when she called her ex-husband a two-minute man. Churchill also confirmed the affair when he recently revealed his marriage to the same woman Tonto accused him of seeing while still married to her.

Tonto Dikeh shocked her fans when she revealed she is in a better place with Christ. Her recent posts often show bible quotes and her relationship with God. Tonto, who was one of the most daring and celebrities known for clouts is now more into giving and showing love to the poor, most especially to children and victims of abuse.
