Popular comic actor, Quadri Oyebamiji Tolani aka Sisi Quadri, has responded to his colleague, Jaiye Kuti, who called some of their colleagues out for begging for funds online.
Recall that a few weeks ago, some veteran actors like Lalude, Alapini, Iya Gbonkan and others had publicily begged for items like cars, houses from their fans and some or their pleas were attended to.
In response to that, Jaiye Kuti, on her birthday shared a video where he chastised her senior colleagues for their act.
She said the act is shameful and shouldn’t be encouraged. She went further to state that some of these actors do not plan for the future.
In a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV, Sisi Quadri slammed Jaiye Kuti. He said prosperity comes from God and no one else and that it doesn’t matter if you were hardworking in the past.
He stated that some actors are underpaid and that alone cannot sustain their future.
Sisi Quadri said, “Someone came to the social media to say some people are begging because they didn’t plan for their future. That is a lie.
“It is God that makes one prosper. If things are going smoothly for your it is not your power.
“Some actors work hard and still don’t have N2000 in their accounts. I am not against anyone seeking help.”
