Actress Charity Chinonso Eke, also known as Chacha Eke, has opted out of her nine-year-old marriage over threats to her life.
The actress took to her Instagram on Tuesday to announce her split from her husband. She stated that it is safe to leave a disturbing marriage to die in the marriage.
Chacha titled her caption, “LEAVE NOW ALIVE OR LEAVE AS A CORPSE”.
According to her, she has lived a lie for years, painting a peaceful marriage to everyone around her including her fans. Recall that in October 2020, Chacha had cried out over the abuse she has been battling with from her husband.
She claimed she had landed in hospitals over the course of their marriage, a claim she denied five days after her break-up. According to her, her rant was a result of her bipolar disorder.
Two years after, she is out to make similar claims. She apologised to her fans for the lies and pretence.
She wrote, “Many have died pretending all is well whilst wishing, hoping and praying for a better tomorrow. I don’t want to “die” or go inexplicably “missing”.
“I sincerely and publicly apologize for living a lie these past years.True to random speculations, there has been trouble in my “perceived paradise”. For the 2nd time in 2years, I am here again on social media boldly declaring that I am done with my marriage.
“My long overdue/relentless stance on this is of course no news to Austin Faani, the doctors and my parents.”
Chacha also claimed that she has proof both recorded in video, audio and written statements in case something happens to her.
“If push comes to shove & suddenly i am incommunicado; my lawyers, the welfare department and the Nigerian police force have my testimonials in recorded video clips/statements set for public release on all social media,” she continued.
The Ebonyi bred got married to her husband and movie director, Austin Faani, in 2013. They are blessed with four children, three girls and a boy.
