Actresses Kemi Afolabi and Toyin Abraham have weighed in on their support for different candidates over the incoming general elections.
The two actresses on Instagram Live session had an online scuffle over reasons they chose their candidates.
Toyin on her end stated that she was never paid for her campaign. She said she is only campaigning based on her own personal experience with APC candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She said the aspirant had helped the entertainment industry many times and has never been heard of.
The mother of two went on to say that the curses and online trolling does not bother her because she is doing her campaign out of the love she has for the country.
Toyin said, “That’s my conscience. I stand with my conscience. My conscience is with Tinubu. I’m making my money myself, I’m not ready to wear Gucci. This is my country…”
Kemi who was sternly against her opinion inquired why the Lagos State government kept quiet during the #EndSARS protest and why the issue was swept under the rug.
She said she will never agree with Toyin’s candidate because she is a mother and witnessing everything that happened during the #EndSARS to other people’s children traumatised her.
Toyin accused Kemi for not being real. Kemi claimed she is very blunt in contrast to what Toyin said.
Kemi also cried out over the treatment she encountered during her visit to LUTH. She said she had to clean the hospital herself as a patient and had to provide for herself.
According to her, the government is not doing their jobs. She also made reference to other things like the Post Office and what the masses are going through.
