The Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has issued an Executive order to protect ex-Governor Rauf Aregbesola within the State.

The Executive order is the seventh by Adeleke since he was sworn-in as Governor on November 28, 2022.

This is coming after Aregbesola alleged that his successor, Adegboyega Oyetola was all out to chase him out of the state as a result of a political feud.

However, Adeleke, during his address at the commissioning of Ilesa Passport Front Office and Production Centre of Nigeria Immigration Service in Osun State, assured Aregbesola, who was also at the programme that his security is guaranteed in the State.

In his words, “No matter the party you are, a progressive is a progressive. If you are doing what the people want… when Aregbesola was the Governor, he loved Osun, he loved his people, all the projects he did for his people were abandoned, I promised myself during the election campaign, that I will complete them. I have started doing that.

“No matter the party you belong to when you see progress you must key into them. Aregbesola is the man of the people and I will continue with the project.

“I am assuring you this is your State. I am issuing an executive order, this is your state, nobody can take you away. You are welcome at any time…very soon I will move to Government House but I am going to fix it up a little bit. The magnificent building that you started I am going to complete it and you will do the commissioning, you will be the first person to sleeping in there.”
