Some celebrities have reacted to the arrest of their colleague, Oladapo Oyebanji, aka D’Banj, over N-Power fraud charges.
The singer was arrested by The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) commission on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, and has since been placed on interrogation for his involvement in the crimes alleged on him.
Seun Kuti in a post on his social media threw a subtle shade on the artiste few hours after the news broke.
He wrote, “We have always said there is no way they are doing anything as politicians without the active connivance of the leading blacks! So na today we know say Nigerian entertainment na scam for money laundering?”
Daddy Freeze stated that a Nigerian artiste has been arrested for what netizens usually blame politicians for.
He wrote, “A Nigerian celeb has been called out for allegedly doing what we accuse politicians of doing… Over to you guys…”
Alex Ekubo in a shared messaged chastised his senior colleague, Regina Askia over his reaction to the arrest.
