An Oklahoma man identified as Jarron Pridgeon, with a history of violence has killed his younger brother, his three young children, and their two half-siblings.
He has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder as he also critically injured his girlfriend and had a portion of the children’s mother, 27-year-old Brittany Anderson’s skull shattered by a bullet. She is now hospitalized in Tulsa in critical condition.
Police say Jarron Pridgeon, 25, opened fire inside the family’s home early Tuesday morning, killing his brother, Javarian Lee, 24, and the five children, the oldest of whom was 9.
The slain children were identified as Jalaiya Pridgeon, 1; Jaidus Pridgeon, 3; Harmony Anderson, 5; Neveah Pridgeon, 6; and Que’dynce Anderson, 9.
During a press conference on Wednesday, police revealed that Pridgeon was the person who called 911 after the killings and summoned EMS.
In addition to the murder counts, Muskogee District Attorney Orvil Loge also charged Pridgeon with one count of shooting with intent to kill and one count of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
Anderson’s sisters, Raven said “We’re trying to get through it. We’re trying to be here for her, be strong for her,”
Jarron Pridgeon has been apprehended and taken under custody.
