The returning officer for Orumba North Local Government Area, Dr Michael Odu, says he forcefully signed the election results for the local government.

Charles Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was reported to have garnered the most votes in the LGA.

Soludo had 4,826 votes followed by his All Progressives Congress counterpart Andy Uba who picked up 2,692 votes.

However, reports say Odu admitted to have been under duress, thus rendering the election results invalid.

But a former National Chairman of APGA, Victor Umeh, has kicked against the claims by the returning officer.

Umeh rubbished reports that the electoral officer and security officers received kickbacks.

On her part, Dr Comfort Nyeh, the electoral officer, denied the allegations raised by the returning officer.

According to reports, Soludo is in poll position to succeed his party man Willie Obiano.

  1. Nonsense! APC are on it again! Can’t they take defeat in good faith? They are abject failures than the PDP! Any attempt to rob the Anambra people of their legitimate votes will be met with strong resistance! Prof. Odu is lying here! So the Legions of police stood and watched him sign under duress abi? Soludo was wielding AK57 so the police ran away? Bull shit talk!
