The National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been set for July 10 and 11, respectively.

According to a notice of meeting released yesterday by the party’s national secretary, Iyiola Omisore, the National Caucus meeting will be held in the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa in Abuja, while the National Executive Council will be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

“APC National Caucus, National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings are fixed for 10th and 11th of July, respectively,” he said.

Omisore said while the notice of the national caucus meeting was issued in pursuant to Article 12.5 of APC constitution, that of NEC was issued in pursuant of 25.2(I) of the party’s constitution.

The National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen (North and South), National Secretary, National Legal Adviser, National Treasurer, National Organising Committee, National Woman Leader, National Youth Leader, and National Leader of Persons with Disabilities are anticipated attendees at the national caucus meeting.

Other party members include past and present presidents and vice presidents, the president of the Senate, the speaker of the House of Representatives, and more.

Members of the NWC, party members who have served as presidents and vice presidents in the past and present, the president of the Senate, and current and former House of Representatives speakers are among those who are anticipated to attend the NEC meeting.

NEC had on April 20, 2022 transferred power to the Abdullahi Adamu-led National Working Committee until July 2022 for 90 days. But following the expiration of the three months, the party’s NWC refused to convene the NEC meeting.
