A former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, as well as a staunch member of the All Progress Congress, Suleiman Sumaila, has said the party would become vulnerable after the president leaves power.

Sumaila, a former Minority Whip in the House of Representatives, said this in an interview in Kano, on Monday.

He said, “The All Progressives Congress, without a sitting President would be vulnerable, particularly due to internal wrangling.

“We have more crises in APC than the opposition Peoples Democratic Party but since we have a sitting President, who everybody respects, we have managed ours, but I pity APC without a sitting President, more specifically, President Buhari.”

President Buhari is in his last few years of his second term and is not expected to contest election again.
