Art director, Pat Nebo, is dead

Popular art director and set designer, Pat Nebo is dead.

The announcement was made by a movie journalist, Shaibu Husseini, on his X page on Thursday.

The late director was said to have been bedridden for a while. He died on Thursday according to the post.

Shaibu shared Nebo’s picture on his post. He referred to the deceased as a master in his craft of production designs in the movie industry.

His tweet read, “I have been reliably informed that foremost Nigerian Production Designer Pat Nebo has passed on.

“He has been bedridden for a while now. Journey well master of the craft of film production design.”

Nebo made his debut in 1993 as a production designer in the Yoruba movie ‘Ti Oluwa Nile’. He went ahead to make more sequels to the movie.

He also worked as the production designer in films like October 1, Being Mrs Elliot, Okafor’s Law. He worked as an art director in films like The Figure, Phone Swap and Half of a Yellow Sun.
