Big Brother Naija former housemate, Natacha Akide also known as Tacha, has slammed those saying she would have been nothing without the show.
Tacha replied to a TikTok statement that says, “Naa big brother help your life naa.”
She reacted to the statement, saying the show gave her a platform but she made it on her own.
“Helped whose life? What? Oh my gosh!! Una dey crack me up for this app o, legit! Big Brother gave me a platform.
“Tacha gave Big Brother a freaky show. What’s pepper dem season without Tacha like? Get your facts right.
“And listen, it is not compulsory to put a comment on every post, some post, just jump and pass if you do not have anything to say, nobody will beat you, okay? Stop exhibiting your foolishness on TikTok,” she said.
However, there have been reactions from people who seem to disagree with the reality star, amongst them are celebrities and OAPs.
An On Air personality, N6, said Tacha needs to appreciate the platform rather than being ungrateful. He urged the reality star to remain humble.
“When you have a fanbase that absolves you of all your wrongs and never points out you Erred it’s easy to think yourself perfect…Don’t be ungrateful. BE HUMBLE. TACHA BE HUMBLE,” he said.
Another individual agreed with the OAP, saying, “…Be humble and appreciate the platform that uplifted you bcos not even the DMW tattoo could have brought you this far into the limelight.”
Journalist Kemi Olunloyo also had a bit to say concerning the controversial star.
Olunloyo said she could relate to the things Tacha is being chastised for. However, she urged the reality star to be careful because “Social media contagion is temporary.”
Tacha replied in a new tweet on June 3, 2021, talking about how she helped herself out when everyone rejected her, mocked, and disgraced her.
“If being humble is shutting my mouth up and having lots make constant naive comments about you, then I throw the HUMBLE SHIELD off the window. F what you think,” she tweeted.
