The organisers of Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) have released more information about the 9th edition of the event which will be taking place in May.
The much anticipated announcement of the nominees will be hosted by award-winning actors including kid actors.
Nollywood actor, Bisola Aiyeola, Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang and the kid actors from the popular Africa Magic TV series, The Johnsons and Ajoche, Jasmine Olarotimi and Nifemi Lawal, will be hosting the event which will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
The nominees’ announcement will be broadcasted live at 7:00 pm on the 16th of April 2023 on all Africa Magic channels on DStv and GOtv.
According to the Executive Head,Content and West Africa Channels, Multichoice Nigeria, Dr Busola Tejumola, the nominees’ unveiling is to celebrate and recognise these actors’ achievements.
“We are excited to unveil the nominees for the upcoming edition of the AMVCA. The caliber of talent and creativity displayed in the African film and television industry is exceptional, and we are proud to recognize and celebrate these achievements,” she said excitedly.
The nominees for the various categories will be carefully selected by a panel of esteemed judges and the voting process will be opened shortly.
14 of these categories will be opened to voters’ decisions while 21 categories will be decided by the panel of judges.
