Canadian rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham, professionally known as Drake, has broken his silence on the Astroworld’s tragedy that occurred last Friday.

The Festival, which had claimed the lives of eight persons and left many injured, was held in Houston, Texas on Friday.

According to reports, about 300 others were injured.

Drake, who performed alongside his colleague, Travis Scott, has released a statement regarding the tragedy on Instagram.

The rapper, on Tuesday, said he hates when he has to pay condolences or express grief via social media.

He said, “I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.

“My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering.

“I will continue to pray for all of them and will be of service in any way I can. My God be with you all.”

Drake was sued alongside Travis Scott for the crowd surge.
