Actresses Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Johnson Okojie, have cried out following the death of a 12-year-old Whitney Adediran who passed away at an inter-house sport event in Chrisland international school, Opebi, Lagos.

Recall that a few hours ago, the bereaved mother on Instagram cried out explaining how she had discovered the death of her child.

In the series of video clips posted, the mother in tears narrated how she had waited to see her child during the inter house sport and when she couldn’t locate her child, she had gone to a location where she was later directed to the hospital after she discovered that it was her child that was rushed to the hospital.

She said she only got to the hospital to see her child’s corpse lying on her deathbed with a black tongue and unresponsive body.

The mother said the doctor had told her that she had suffered from a cardiac arrest and had slumped.

A blogger had shared a clip where a student of the school had narrated the ordeal stating that the girl was electrocuted while trying to buy popcorn and water was being poured on her during the state while they were trying to revive her.

The clip went on to reveal that the girl was already dead before she was taken to the hospital because she was unresponsive. She said she was initially taken to the back of the building before she was rushed to the hospital where her mother found her.

In reaction to this, Iyabo Ojo and Mercy demanded that the school reveal the truth behind Whitney’s death.

Iyabo said, “@chrislandinsta You need to come out & tell Whitney’s parents the truth about their daughter’s death. The negligence from your school is appalling. There is a WhatsApp audio circulating that she died as a result of electrocution. Can you confirm or deny?

“Did you not get the vendors at your event to make sure they came with child proof equipment? You knew the child was dead before sending her to a health centre and sent the mother on a wild goose chase to look for her child without accompanying her. The actual audacity to be irresponsible.”

Mercy, whose children are students of Christland, said she had pleaded with the authorities to come clean with how Whitney died.

She said, “I’m responding to the cries of a mother going through the worst pain ever. A mother who wants to know how her child died so suddenly @bam.babycity

“No parent deserves this, no one. Since I saw this heartbreaking video this morning, I’ve called to plead with the school @chrislandinsta to do as Whitney’s mum has cried for and release the full details of what happened to her daughter. We are all waiting.

“My condolence to Whitney’s family. My prayers are with you.”
