The crisis rocking the Cherubim and Seraphim church in Ondo state seems to know-no-end as the factional leaders engage in a war of words over who becomes the authentic chairman of the unification of the church between Prophet Kerubu Oluwagbemi and Primate Ade Ademisokun – Torton.

Moreso, the immediate past Secretary of the Unification chapter of the church in the state, Apostle Victor Oludare, confirmed the crisis that the so-called leaders at the national, initially never recognized Primate Ademisokun but rather prophet Oluwagbemi which became strange to them as the tune of the piper suddenly changed.

He again reaffirmed it to KaftanPost that, the reports making the rounds that there is no crisis should be disregarded and taken as a ruse, falsehood from the pit of hell, saying until the needful is done.

He accused the national body of the church of worsening the situation through the kangaroo and setting up of a one-sided committee which was not known to them in the state and was targeted at imposing a non-member as Chairman of the church in the state.

He said so many things have gone wrong in the church system and can no longer be tolerated by all.

He besieged the church leaders at the headquarters to put more effort and speed up actions for a peaceful dialogue

“our leaders from the national body should call for a peaceful dialogue between the warring factions and settle the crisis amicably in order to move the Unification forward in Ondo state else, the worse will keep surfacing

According to him, he said that the committee which was initially set up was not recognized based on the composition

“We did not recognise the committee set up by the national body of the church”

” It was a one-sided committee where no one was carried along in the composition”
We pray the needful is done else we may push it further to a higher authority”

However, another leader of the church, His Lordship Primate Kunle Coker, in the state said there was no leadership crisis in the church, and that was why the national body of the church set up the 21-man committee to handle all these mere crises spreading around.

Speaking on the alleged imposition of a leader on the C&S Unification Church in the state, Coker said “when we started this Unification, Primate Ade Ademisokun-Turton was elected as Deputy Baba Alakoso for Akure and environs and after the demised of Baba Alakoso, he was now elected as Alakoso, if he is not a member of the Unification, how can they choose him to lead them? I think it is not possible.

“My concern is to appeal to everyone to work together in love, unity and peace and I know that the lost glory of C&S will surely come back,” he said.
