Chief Festus Ochonogor, Delta Commissioner for Housing on Friday, urged consultants working for the ministry to adhere to best practices and modern housing designs.
Ochonogor gave the advice while addressing journalists after meeting with the consultants in his office in Asaba.
He said that the present administration in the state would want the consultants to adopt new approaches, in their duties, to good and quick service delivery.
Ochonogor said toward this effect,the consultants should always give the state government, good designs that would meet modern trends.
He said that the consultants should also cooperate with the government to achieve its desired goal.
Ochonogor said that consultants working and supervising government projects must also devise new initiatives as part of service delivery to the people.
“It is necessary that we have a regular feedback to strengthen collaboration between the ministry and the consultants, to have a robust synergy in meeting target and for quality service delivery.
“The Ministry of Housing supervises and monitors all government housing projects, it is critical to establish a good relationship between the ministry and the consultants, to meet desired target,” he said.
