Seun Kuti’s nephew, Made Kuti, has fired back at Peter Okoye over his involvement in the online scuffle that transpired between Seun Kuti and Peter Okoye hours ago.

Recall that on Wednesday, February 8, Peter Okoye had berated Seun Kuti for referring to Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as an opportunist.

Seun, who is a supporter of Omoyele Sowore while on the TheMicOnPodcast, stated that his candidate can not function well in a country controlled by major parties like PDP and APC even if he wins.

He stated that the citizens of the country can only save themselves because the country is beyond repair.

Seun went on to describe Peter Obi as an internet president who trends only on the internet. He said the candidate is an opportunist who left PDP because he couldn’t win the primaries.

In reaction to this, Peter went on a rampage on his Instagram calling Seun the worst names on the planet. He went on to say that Seun’s comment had erased his father, Fela’s legacy.

He also stated that virtually all Nigerian artistes have benefitted from Fela’s legacy.

An excerpt to one of the posts read, “Dude, I understand your frustration. But realize that the sky is big enough for all birds to fly @burnaboy and other great artistes have climbed on our great Fela’s ladder to blow.

“Comport yourself and pray to your God. My God has blessed my destiny & I’ll 4ever remain thankful. I’ll surely keep you in my prayers. Learn from your nephew @Madekuti cos he is well guided and clean.”

In reaction to this, Made warned Peter not to involve him while trying to diss his uncle. He said the families are united and they would love to remain that way.

This could also be a shade to the Okoyes who in the last years had suffered from one breakup to another in the family.

Made wrote, “Good afternoon, Please do not use me as a tool to slight, insult or badmouth my Uncle… I’m not sure how we are perceived so I should clarify we stay united as a family and we intend on keeping it that way. Thank you.”
