Music mogul, Andre Romelle Young, popularly known as Dr. Dre, has sued his ex-wife Nicole Young to court for a fresh case over an alleged theft.

According to Dr Dre, Nicole is ’embezzling’ funds from his recording studio business, his music studio in Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks neighborhood.

Recall that the court overseeing his divorce proceeding ordered Dr Dre to pay Nicole Young $300,000 for spousal support every month.

According to the new lawsuit, Nicole ‘decimated’ the studio bank accounts by withdrawing $353,571.85 in the early stages of her divorce (June 2020) from her husband.

Both Dr Dre and Nicole Young were in charge of maintenance and control of the studio. Nicole was in charge of writing charges and transferring money for the music business.

Nicole was initially removed from the studio’s trust at the beginning of the divorce proceedings.

In its filing, the studio argues that Nicole ‘egregiously’ failed to uphold her fiduciary interest by ’embezzling and stealing money from (the company’s) bank account, and using the money for her own personal obligations.’

The business accuses her of violating Penal Code 496, which states: ‘Every person who buys or receives any property that has been stolen or that has been obtained in any manner constituting theft or extortion, knowing the property to be stolen or obtained, or who conceals, sells, withholds, or aids in concealing, selling, or withholding any property from the owner… shall be punished by imprisonment in county jail for not more than one year.’

Nicole claimed that she withdrew the funds because her name is on the account so she has access to it.

This was revealed in October according to TMZ. And it was reported that the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating Nicole for the withdrawals at that time.
