The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have opened their Youtube Channel, joining the Queen’s channel created in 2007.

Prince William and Kate recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary which they celebrated by releasing a video showing their family in joyful memories.

The couple also changed their Instagram handle from @KensingtonRoyal to @DukeandDuchessofCambridge.

Their Youtube channel was captioned, ‘Better late than never – we’re now on Youtube’.

Starting the video, William told his wife, in smiles, to be careful of what she says.

“You’ll have to be careful what you say now, because these guys are filming you.” Kate replied with, “I know!”

The Duke and Duchess are not the first to open a Youtube channel. The Queen launched a Youtube channel in 2007 and, according to the royal family, this was to promote the monarchy system.

The Queen, speaking of the monarchy’s move onto social media at the time, said: “I very much hope that this new medium will make my Christmas message more personal and direct. That it is possible for some of you to see me today is just another example of the speed at which things are changing all around us.”

The 25-second video showed Prince William and Kate doing things together including attending to animals, while Prince was seen awarding athletes.

The video briefly showed clips of engagements, including Kate trying her hand at archery, William flying a helicopter, and the couple on their official visit to Bhutan.

In another clip, an outtake from this year’s St Patrick’s Day video, Kate tells William: “You don’t need to roll your Rs.” Prince William replied with “Do I not?”

The video had gained 1.1 views and 58,000 likes in 19 hours.
