Singer and music producer, Samuel Oguachuba, aka Samklef, has condemned Seun Kuti’s comments over who is worthy of Grammy Awards or not.

Seun Kuti, who has been going on and off to say hurtful words to colleague Wizkid’s fanbase over how irrelevant the artiste’s Grammy Award is, has continued to rant after he showed his Grammy plaque on Instagram.

According to Seun, he recognises only four artists in Nigeria.

“There are only 4 musicians in Nigeria who has been nominated for the Grammys, if that annoys you, It’s not my fault. Album is not music video,” he wrote on Thursday.

But Samklef in his response told Seun to “calm down”.

He asked the youngest son of famous afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti to practice what he preaches.

According to the music producer, his late father will be weeping.

Samklef wrote a response on his IG story, he said, “Seun you need to calm down. Person get nomination but no win and another person get nomination by music video and win.

“To win Grammy no be beans, regardless how you win. A win is a win. FELA DID NOT TEACH YOU TO REBEL AGAINST THE YOUNG ONES. Practice what you preach. Is this how you want to be a president or run a party. Fela wept.”

Seun was in 2018 nominated for the Grammy Awards Best World Music Album category.
