It’s no news that infidelity is strangely finding its way into people’s homes with ease these days. Strange as it sounds, it has been happening for decades and centuries.
Men cheat, women do it too. A shameful act! However, it happens especially in marriages with vows strongly binding them.
Celebrities are not left out in this despicable act, although many will not admit or they try to cover up, some got out nevertheless. Here are four celebrities whose infidelity stories got out to the media and were confirmed.
9ice
Alexander Abolore Akande also known as 9ice or the Gongo Aso crooner, is one of the best Nigerian singers especially when it comes to his use of his indeginous language, his proverbial lyrics and his delivery.
His Gongo Aso album was a hit and is still one whenever it’s being played in the present time.
However, when it comes to his marital life, 9ice finds it hard to do it effortlessly the way he does with his music.
The Street Credibility singer was formerly married to Toni Payne in 2008 before they got separated due to infidelity. The marriage produced a son. He got married to Adetola Anifalaye, a software engineer in America, in 2018. They have a daughter together and separated.
As if that was enough for afrobeat singer, he got married to his current wife, Olasunkanmi Ajala Akande in 2019.
It was quite a surprise to see the singer on his Instagram begging his wife publicly for doing something which he referred to as ‘Shameful’. He referred to his wife as his backbone and insisted that he wants to save his marriage.
A video had circulated the media showing the singer touching another woman’s breasts and he was warning ‘Yahoo Boys’ not to touch his lady because she is his.
Oritse Femi
This scandal surprised a great number of people when it came out. The singer, who had tied the knot in a sweet way on April 18, 2017 in an elaborate way with his colleagues in attendance.
His wife, in February 2021, took to her Instagram page to call an unidentified woman out. She claimed that the woman comes to her house to sleep with her husband when she is out for work.
She challenged the woman to come out, saying she confirmed it after weeks of ignoring the rumours.
This claim was collaborated by Oritse Femi’s former manager, Kara. These allegations, however, were denied by the singer who was granted an interview by a news source.
Tega
Former BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Tega Offiong Dominic-Ajeboh, also known as Tega, was caught follicking with another man in the house during her stay. An act which a great number of viewers found unacceptable and disgusting considering she is married.
Although, this was quickly diffused into another drama by the husband who said he also cheated on his wife prior to her first day in the house.
This didn’t go as planned because a few of her fans and viewers pounced on her as soon as she exited the house. She was bullied to the point where she got her Instagram deactivated for some time.
Sammie Okposo
The gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, is the trending infidelity saga of the moment. Many were shocked when the story came out. An American lady had called the singer out for neglect. She said the singer abandoned her after their last encounter which led to an unexpected pregnancy.
The singer, reacting to this, had taken to his Instagram on January 26, 2022, to apologize to his beautiful wife and the fans, mostly to the wife and family.
He said he had done something bad and he begged his wife for forgiveness. He also stepped down from ministering. This act has also cost him cancellation of some upcoming gospel concerts.
As if that wasn’t enough, the singer removed the post barely 24 hours after he apologized.
