Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger was secreted out of his office on Wednesday to avoid being attacked by pro-Trump’s Atlanta mob.

This was disclosed by a top election official, Gabriel Sterling, who said the decision to evacuate Brad Raffensperger became necessary as armed protesters gathered outside his office.

He also disclosed that the Secretary of State did not leave alone as his staff were also secreted out of the office

“We saw stuff happening at the Georgia Capitol and said we should not be around here, we should not be a spark,” Sterling told

About 100 protesters gathered at the state Capitol in Atlanta on Wednesday to protest President Donald Trump’s election loss. Some were armed with long guns.

Trump has focused much of his ire on Raffensperger in the weeks following his loss to Democrat Joe Biden in Georgia by about 12,000 votes.

The avoided attack happened simultaneously with the invasion of the US Capitol in Washington, same Wednesday by Trump supporters.
