Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi, has revealed how he got the role of ‘Saro’ in the trending movie, Anikulapo, directed by Kunle Afolayan.
The movie has been making waves since its release on the last day of September, 2022. The movie starred notable actors like Sola Sobowale, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Afolayan, Taiwo Hassan and many more.
In a live video made by Kunle Remi, while answering questions made by his fans, he stated how he got the role.
According to him, Kunle Afolayan had put a call across to him asking if he can speak Yoruba Language fluently.
He said he answered him but Kunle said he was not serious because he was still at that time answering him in English. Kunle said he panicked and he had intended to make TikTok videos speaking fluent Yoruba in order to change the director’s mind.
According to him, a spirit told him to take things slow because if the role is indeed his, he would get it, which he eventually did.
Speaking further about how he managed to speak fluent indigenous language despite his background, he said he had several Yoruba coaches who had to put him through.
