One of the wives of Ooni of Ife, Olori Tobi Phillips, has revealed how she met the monarch.
Her marriage to the king came alongside five other marriages to the king after the separation of Olori Naomi Silekunola.
In a recent interview, Olori Tobi said she got introduced to the monarch through a friend and she had started dating the king but couldn’t get married to him then due to some hindrances.
She stated that she married for love because the king had traits of men she loves.
Olori said, “Someone called me one day and said, “Do you want to get married? And he asked if I wanted to get married to the Ooni.
“He introduced me to the Ooni. At first, I didn’t take it seriously because I was like, ‘what’s going on’.
“Then we met and started dating, but there was so many interference and we didn’t get married. That was quite devastating.
“I always promised myself that I will marry someone that I love. There are values that I love in a man and the Ooni has that”.
In an old post while celebrating the king, she had revealed how she waited for 8 years before her marriage to the monarch.
