Popular comedian, Bovi Ugboma, has lamented over his experience in a London hotel where he was almost accused of stealing and fraud.
According to him, internet fraudsters have made it impossible for people to believe innocent transactions.
In a post he made on his Instagram, he said his payment and registration was questioned when he was about to lodge in a hotel in London, stating that they requested for extra details just to confirm.
He said he had to tell the hotel staff to search for him on Google to confirm his status.
He wrote, “Simon Leviev done spoil everywhere o. Tryna check into hotel in London and they insist I present the card that I used for the booking.
“I tell them it was done for me and my wife and she’s in naij.
“They made it worse. They think I’m stealing. Then to crown an, my own card dey decline. For the first time in my life, I said the word ‘Google Me’”
