Award winning actress, Bimbo Ademoye, has revealed how movie producers had wanted to exploit her body into sexual roles before she got her huge break in the movie industry.
Bimbo, in a recent interview with a media house, said she had been given sexual roles like a maid who is to seduce his boss, a sexy secretary, etc.
According to her, she has been into unfavourable roles until she got her first role with Uduak Isong.
She said the producer had given her a chance to portray different characters.
Bimbo said, “Everybody wanted to make use of my body. Everybody wanted me to play the sexy secretary or the girl that snatched someone’s husband, or the one that snatched the other person’s boyfriend.
“But it was Uduak Isong that took a chance on me. She gave me a role different from what I was used to and since then, it has been amazing.
“People started calling me to come and act this comedy role, come and feature in this and that. It has really been very wonderful since then.”
She recently won the award for the Best Actress in Comedy at the 2023 African Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA.
She has featured in several hit movies like Sugar Rush, Gangs of Lagos, Battle on Buka Street, Sibe the series, Selina and many more.
