Former BBNaija housemate, Pere Egbi, has revealed how he almost slapped a politician during the 2023 campaign and elections.
The reality TV star on his Twitter page on Tuesday, May 30, lamented on the ‘hate campaign’ towards the Igbo tribe.
Pere revealed how it’s unfair on this tribe against other tribes when it comes to politics and who rules the country.
According to him, the politician he was with at the time was talking about how the country can never be ruled by an Igbo man and he was furious.
He described the unfairness as a serious problem in Nigeria that has to be addressed.
His tweets read, “The hate against the Igbos in Nigeria is real. I AM NOT even Igbo or Yoruba or Hausa and I feel for them.
“Someone who is in politics once told me that ‘an Igbo person can never rule Nigeria’. If say Jesus no hold my right hand that day, I for slap am.
“Online I see lots of hate toward the Igbo tribe. This is coming from people within the political space.
“We have a serious problem in Nigeria and we need to be honest about it and face it head on. This is unfair.”
