Media personality, Nancy Isime, has revealed she had doubts getting to her current age because of her suicidal thoughts growing up.
The star, who recently clocked 30, had an icy winter wonderland themed party, which had notable Nollywood stars and celebrities in attendance.
Nancy took to her Instagram page to narrate how she suffered depression while she was growing up and how she didn’t think she would make it to 30.
She posted a video of herself in tears, and she said it is her usual mood after her birthday.
According to the media personality, the moment she picks up her phone on her birthday to answer calls, messages and her friends, she becomes emotional.
She wrote: “This was me everytime I picked up my phone on my birthday, I was surrounded by friends and when they turn to look at me, I was always in tears!
“I will be honest with you, I have looked forward to my 30th all my life but didn’t even imagine I’ll be in a space this amazing!
“As a child/teenager who suffered depression and was suicidal, I really did not think I’ll make it to 30. I always thought I would take my life before then so this is such a big deal to me!
“To be here, in good health, sound mind, surrounded by the most amazing people online and offline, experiencing love in its truest form? And yes I feel all my emotions, I cry when I’m happy, sad, overwhelmed, in love. It is the only way to live in every single moment.”
