Popular rapper, Illbliss, has berated his colleague, Phenom, for disrespecting a legendary rapper, Mode 9.
This is a response to an interview granted by Phenom in a podcast where he stated that he doesn’t see Mode 9 as someone he would love to be.
In his words, “I don’t see Mode 9 as someone I want to be like.”
Illbliss described the comment as a disrespectful one to Hip-Hop culture and the rapper.
He said Phyno who is a more successful rapper in the modern Hip-Hop in Nigeria can not disrespect a colleague the way Phenom did.
Illbliss described Mode 9 as a living legend who is well respected in his craft. He also expressed his disappointment.
He said, “Even Phyno would never disrespect the Hiphop pioneers that came before him, with phantoms parked in his garage.
“Really truly disappointed Phenom. Mode9 is a living legend, alive and well, incredibly decorated and respected for his contributions to Hiphop culture. I hate the disregard!”
