Wife of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Queen Damilola, has tendered apology to the monarch and the household for her behaviour following her exit from the palace.
Recall that the Queen who was locked up for an offence while still in the palace and fled for Lagos in April, became homeless and was rescued by contributions made by Nigerians.
The Queen also claimed that the palace maltreated her during her stay in the house. She debunked the news that the monarch is in support of her welfare even after her exit.
This claim was earlier refuted by a man who said the monarch has been funding her.
However, in a new post made by the oba’s wife, she claimed she was misled by her friends hence the exit from the palace.
She also begged to be returned to the palace.
The Queen also apologized to everyone who supported her when she left the palace and also promised to pay them back.
She claimed in her post that she was writing the current post on her own accord and not because she was forced to do so.
She wrote, “I WANT TO USE THIS MEDIUM TO TENDER UNRESERVED APOLOGIES TO THE ENTIRE FAMILIES OF ADEYEMI ( ALAAFIN OF OYO) OVER MY LAST POST.
“PLS I WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT I’M NOT UNDER DURESS IN SENDING THIS MESSAGE AND THAT I’M IN GOOD STATE OF MIND.
“THAT ALL THAT I SAID IN MY LAST POST ABOUT LEAVING THE PALACE AND THAT ALAAFIN WAS NOT TAKING CARE OF ME AND ALL WHAT I SAID NEGATIVELY CONCERNING HIM(ALAAFIN) WAS FALSE IT WAS FRIENDS THAT MISLEAD ME AND OUT OF FRUSTRATION.
“BUT NOW THINGS ARE CLEAR AND I’M SINCERELY SORRY FOR TRYING TO BRING DOWN THE ROYAL FAMILY. I HAVE BEEN TO LAGOS AND ABUJA TO SEEK FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY.
“I WRITE THIS IN TEARS AND BEG EVERY GOOD MOTHER TO PLS PLEAD TO MY HUSBAND( ALAAFIN OF OYO) ON MY BEHAVE TO FORGIVE ME.
“AND TO ALL THOSE THAT CONTRIBUTE ONE MONEY OF THE OTHER WHEN I GET BACK TO PALACE I WILL DEFINITELY REFUND YOU PEOPLE. THANKS, IT’S FOR THOSE THAT UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME ..”
