Democrat candidate, Joe Biden, has thanked Americans for the honour to lead after his election as 46th US President.
Biden tweeted on Saturday evening (Nigerian time), saying he will be president for all Americans.
He tweeted, “America, I’m honoured that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
“The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.
“I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.”
The Democrat was projected by major international and US-based TV networks on Saturday that he has won the US presidency over Donald Trump.
Biden sealed victory after he claimed several key battleground states won by the Republican incumbent in 2016.
A man of unmatched character in consistency. Joe Biden.
We know you will keep the faith, Mr. President-Elect. You have for years Mr. Joe Biden; from siding with Black’s in South Africa during the Aparthied years and standing against the obnoxious oppressive regime in South Africa to your personal pains without changing your character. We know you will keep the faith with the American people.
