I’ll not retire from politics until I’m president – Tinubu

FORMER Governor of Lagos State, Ahmed Bola Tinubu,  has stated that he will not retire from politics until he becomes President of Nigeria.

Tinubu, popularly known as Asiwaju, a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) disclosed this yesterday while speaking with delegates of the party in Benue, ahead of the party’s presidential primary.

He however noted that there would be no contest whatsoever between him and whoever eventually emerge as the standard flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

While he rekindled the hope of Nigerians for a better Nigeria, he pledged that if elected president, he would run a transparent and open government to the admiration of Nigerians.

The former Lagos state governor stated that when he becomes President, he would bring to bear the experience of his leadership style as Lagos state governor of Nigeria.

Asiwaju who observed that Nigeria is a rich country noted that what the nation needs was to redirect and channel its resources in the right direction.

Earlier, Senator Kashim Shetimma who spoke at the occasion, insisted that Senator Tinubu was the right person to take Nigeria to the promised land.

He also extolled the virtues of Sentor Joseph Tarka as a leader and emancipator of minority interest groups in Nigeria.
